19. Glenveagh National Park
See the brochure on Glenveagh National Park. Go out of Donegal Town on the road to Ballybofey, Strenorlar, and Letterkenny - N15. Take a left off N15 onto N13 towards Letterkenny. Stay on N13, left to Letterkenny. Stay on N13, at round-about turn left. At the next round-about turn right, towards Kilmacrennan. Bare left at Oatfield (it's on your left - the intersection like a V). At the next round-about, turn right, towards Dunglow. Turn left off N56 at Glenveagh National Park sign, soon after the Lagoon Restaurant and Bar. Follow Glenveagh National Park sign and entrance is on the left. You must park your car in the parking lot and either take the shuttle bus out to the castle and gardens or walk out along the road (walking one way aprx 45 minutes). When your at the castle and gardens be sure to walk up to the viewpoint overlooking the lake and castle. (Aprx Round Trip 6 hours). This is a good trip to combine with #20 Port Marsh and Ballyness Bay.
